Columbian Gorge

Beautiful Columbia Gorge!!!

Latourell Falls

This waterfall is famous!!! In Twilight, you see this fall when they get out of the jeep to play softball. Awesome!!!

An awesome sight!!!

This bridge is at the bottom of the falls. It was a hike just to get to that point.

I could not get the entire falls in the picture. It is the 2nd largest fall in the U.S.!!!

So pretty!!!

At the bottom of the falls!!! Awesome!!! Only 1.8 miles to the top of the waterfall!!! We decide to hike to the top!!! First sign we come to says...4 out of 12 switchbacks!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? We almost turn around...but decide to hammer on!!!

I am sooooo happy!!! We are at the top!!! That was a tough climb!!!

We worked up such an appetite hiking up the falls that we felt we deserved an awesome meal!!! We found a cute little restaurant called "3 Rivers Grill", and enjoyed delicious ribeyes!!! Yummy!!!

Vacation time...

George and I flew into Portland today. It is beautiful here...the city of roses!!! Rose bushes are growing everywhere! So pretty!!!

George flew in from Sacramento last night and his flight was delayed and did not get in until midnight. So...I picked him up and we drove home. He repacked and did not get any sleep. I think I got an hour and a half of sleep. So...it's been a long day!!!

We ate lunch at Salty's out over the water and I enjoyed a tasty bowl of clam chowder. Yummy...they add sherry and cracked pepper. We drove around downtown and found it to be a nice city.

Monica, George's niece, and her husband Sean just arrived from Mount Vernon, Washington. We are having fun catching up.

I just took a hot shower and am so ready for bed!!! Good night all!!!

George's Garden!!!

George has always wanted a garden...so when we redid the backyard he build a special area for a garden. The squash leaves are huge and it is flowering. Can't wait to eat something from my hubby's garden!!!
